This is a disease of the gut. So most of the symptoms are related to it. How serious the symptoms will depend on the condition. If it is still diverticulosis, especially in early-stage, you will notice an irregular toilet habit, difficulty passing out the stools, pain in the lower abdomen, and bloatedness.
You will have a bloated feeling until you are successful in the toilet. Another very common symptom is a pain in your lower abdomen which starts and stops many times. It may be slight to moderate at first. This pain may go away after you relieve yourself of your stool. This is usually on the lower left-hand side.
People with diverticulosis have a very weak digestive system. So symptoms can happen or get worse if the food they ate is not easy to digest. Because it is a long-term disease, patients can end up feeling weak and emotionally distressed.
Diverticulitis
This is already an inflammation. So it has similar symptoms, but much worse! The pain will be more severe and continuous. You will also experience a high fever. You will feel tired, weak and nauseous (feel very sick with vomiting). Diarrhea and frequent going to the toilet happens. These symptoms may already require an urgent trip to the emergency room.
